This is no trap, nice job
that is amazing!
May the Force be with you!
I love this! Great work.
Sorry, didn't even think about reducing the resolution before uploading...
That is fucking awesome!
I remember years ago before led lights were everywhere there was a kit that used fiber strands and a light box. I could never find it 2 buy
Fun and useless fact: "zvezda" means "a star" in Slavic languages
Don’t be sorry! The zoom is awesome!
Something, Something Complete
Something something gooood......
The Star Destroyer has always been my favorite Star Wars ship.
Outstanding work, Op! Well done!
Now tack on a falcon on it
@DemmyDemon this is huge!
Yes! Find a Micro Machines one and glue it to the back left of the conning tower!
"Something something complete..."
Where do I get models like this? I wish there was a company that made them for the EVE universe.
Awesome...... just plain awesome........ great work!
Awesome! Sell it to me. *waves hand* You will accept $20 for it.
Damn, that Destroyer is LIT!
LMAO! I'm just happy someone got my EVE request. Whenever I talk about EVE I get the deer in a headlight look.
now make one for me
You may admire when ready
I just brought myself the republic Venator from Revell, going to do a similar thing with the LED lights. Really good job with your model.
Stage it with some large cotton back lit "clouds" behind it, maybe some fog - take some pics. Great job!!! That looks fantastic !!
Where can i get one?
My god, it's full of stars!
Wow! Ur a badass! That thing is gorgeous. I’m just playing with my LEGO Star Wars assembly sets...Yeeesh! U put so much thought & work.
Might fucking fine.
Why are people always so fascinated by high resolution photos. It's not like it's a rare thing these days...
Pity the new movies are crap
+10 for the fiber optics alone! Great Job!
Who on earth down votes this... great work. The title is my favorite haha
Something.. something... complete.
The Battlestar Enterprise!!
I'd cheese out, pin hole the windows and put 3 white led lights in it can call it a day.
The plastic itself is transparent enough that the whole thing would glow.
Zvezda means 'star' in Russian. You have a 'Star' Star destroyer.
I think this one has a better look for the main engine bells, though.
Back in My day our plastic had lead in it! I guess the work around is to paint the interior black to stop that translucent nature.
You my friend, are a true fan!
That is great work.
DEPLOY THE FLEET.
Love it. Love fiber optic lighting stuff. Love Star Wars. Love you. *kisses*
Amazon has the revell boxings..the Russian boxing is pretty much just on eBay. Local hobby shop maybe too
It's the AMT kit ...I've got one in the stash somewhere
Small aperture, long lens, camera on tripod, flash with long exposure to capture lights. Adjust exposure time/flash as needed.
Wah. I want it SO MUCH. Damn fine job.
How do you attach the lens to the phone?☺️
He set the bulbs too far back so the first 2/3 of the engine bell is in shadow
Yours still looks great, though.
I will fuck your shit up with one A-wing fighter.
George Lucas would be proud.
Amazing! My Zvezda kit is still in the box because I'm scared to do anything with it
It's like jumping out of hyperspace right on top of one!
I started with the main hull pieces over a year ago and trying to decide how to do the engine lights....then it sat until about a month ago
It's a very good kit..no real fit issues..a touch of filler at the corners of the forecastle. And where I got careless with the dremel
Cardboard? Dude, that's awesome!
There's one on Shapeways in the right scale for it...
Yeah, I got it when I read all the good reviews. How did you decide where to put the lights? Not all from reference photos? Theres so many.
I have this model. Still in the box. Kinda intimidated to try and build it now.
Sculpting the Galaxy book has good pics with some close ups. Used that as a guide to get an idea of where stuff goes.
I read somewhere the studio models had something like 2700 light points and had to have a cooling system...pre-LED days
Cool, thanks :-)
Nice scoring job.
Sorry, add "use a real camera if you want a good pic" to my response.
I know, I was kidding...I had a good dslr but sold it when I stopped building/photographing for a mag
I absolutely love it. We should have one.
